John Seward

John Seward is a recent retiree from the US Postal Service, living in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a columnist for The Union Flash, a newspaper published by the Southwest Michigan Area Postal Workers Union, and dabbled in creative writing, having a short story appear in a local publication. An avid baseball fan, John spent last summer behind the lens of his camera, taking pictures at Battle Creek Yankees games. Many of his pictures were used on the team's website on player bio pages, as well as those on Pinstripesplus.com.

He writes a weblog called The South West Michigan DRays Blog, dedicated to the new Tampa Bay affiliate in Battle Creek, and is in the process of researching and contacting players who spent time there as Michigan Battle Cats (Red Sox & Astros) for a possible book.
